Course Overview

Think our current levels of intelligence, talent and ability are just the starting point, neuroplasticity shows that we can improve and develop them with effort. We can improve all areas of our life by developing our strengths and abilities, not just the areas where we can see we already have a reasonable ability. 

When we fail at something it’s disappointing but it’s not all defining. With a growth mindset, we understand that failure is part of the process of improving my performance. When we reframe our view of failure and see it as part of the bigger learning process, we are less afraid of getting things wrong and the effort involved in mastering something becomes more enjoyable, even if it’s just the challenge we are enjoying. 

Effort and perseverance are important, but we also need to examine setbacks and mistakes to understand how we can improve my performance, this is what takes me to the next level. We celebrate our successes and recognise all of the effort and perseverance that helps us to achieve our goals.


4 HALLMARKS TO CULTIVATE A GROWTH MINDSET 

  1. Learning: Learn to hear your FIXED mindset inner dialogue voice 
  2. Challenge: Recognise that you have a choice. Your response to challenges, setbacks & criticism is within your control. 
  3. Effort: Respond to self-doubt with a growth mindset. “Most successful people had failures on their way,”………. “if I don’t try I automatically fail.”
  4. Perseverance: Choose to act with a growth mindset approach: 1. take on the challenge wholeheartedly 2. learn from your setbacks and try again 3. hear the criticism and choose a growth mindset response
  • Leaders with growth mindsets practice all (12) of these disciplines. 
  • Organizations that give them the freedom to do it on their own terms for the betterment of the business are the ones that realize the growth transformation promises.
